Nowadays, you can buy an aquarium in just about any shape you can think of.
But what if you're a traditionalist? Someone who desires a shape which harkens back to days of yore; to a time when aquariums were simple spherical bowls full of wholesome family fun.
Well, there's good news … and then there's better news.
First, the good news.
Aquatic product manufacturer CASCO has re-imagined that good old-fashioned fish bowl, updating the design and producing a fresh take on an aquarium classic.
The better news?
Not only does their new "fish bowl" have stunning good looks, it's also feature-rich, functionally sound and has a bevy of cool accessories available for you to add and customize the tank to your own discriminating tastes.
The biOrb—available in 8 and 16 gallon models—has all the aesthetic appeal of a fish bowl (love that 360-degree viewing!), plus features cool swappable tops that allow you to change the look of the tank to match your home or office furnishings.
The five-stage filtration system, strategically placed in the center of the sphere to avoid viewing obstructions, keeps aquarium water crystal clear and free of pollutants. A single transformer supplies the 12-volts needed to power the included air pump and light fixture.
The popularity of the biOrb is pretty astounding. There are at least 100 videos on YouTube of biOrb owners showing off their tanks, and CASCO lists dozens of Hollywood celebs and athletes on their website as proud biOrb owners.
Easy to setup and easy to maintain, the BiOrb is perfect for novice aquarists and may be a welcome change of pace, errr, shape for more advanced hobbyists (there's even a marine conversion kit!).
